Convert 4gb Memory Card To 8gb Software As A Service
The product arrived in a timely manner. I needed a memory card with more storage since the one that came with my camera can only capture 4 pictures. This memory stick fit & worked with my camera.

It was very useful, i am able to take between 500 to 1000 pictures and still has room for 4000. I was not afraid to take duplicate pictures in case one was blurry (i only use the easy programming of the camera even though i could use the other features but if you are in an event & want to take spontaneous pictures, i don't have time to adjust my camera). The pictures came out great. I'm happy with the product. I bought this reader for portability and I only use CF and SD mostly.Few PLUSES:- It's tiny! (half the size of my Sandisk ImageMate Reader)- It has CF, SD, microSD (I use microSD least though)- LED blinks when you insert - sometimes have to wait about 5 seconds to detect.- works on both my Mac and PC- works on all my super old SD cards (non SDHC ones)Tips / Few points to be aware of:- If you insert both microSD and SD side by side, it only read the first one that you insert.- So, do one at a time. I was just curious if it can read all 3 cards at the same time.- USB 3.0 is not supported by Mac (at least at the time of this writing)Pls click 'Is the review helpful - Yes/No' so I know if it helps your decision making.
I was looking for a card reader which can be used as bootable device similar to a usb pen drive. As this one is plug and play, it is detected during the boot time.I was able to boot using a microSD card with this device, without any issues at all. This device adds 2 bootable options one for MicroSD/HC and SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC cards and other for MS/MSXC cards.Very happy with the read/write performance as well as this supports USB 3.0I no longer have to buy a USB pen drive.I find it's better to buy multiple microSD cards if needed as they can be used in most other devices. I originally ordered this for my laptop since my desktop had a multi-card reader built-in. But when I found my Canon EOS 7D time out when transferring 32GB of data I decided to test it out and it's much faster than the camera or my built-in reader. Also it has a micro SD card slot so I can read the memory cards that are in the Zoom H1 audio recorder or my wife's camera without using the full size SD adapter. It's also smaller than it looks like in the product photo (since the predominate feature shown is the micro SD slot which is really small). It's roughly the size of a smart phone (same width as an iPhone, almost an inch shorter, and a smidgen thicker).
So now I use it all the time on my desktop and unplug it when I need it for travel. Maybe I'll have. Contrary to what I read in several reviews, it works just fine with the Google Pixel 2 phone. Plug a card into the reader, plug the reader into the phone, and it shows up as a USB mass storage device.
Simple.Despite those reviews, I purchased this with the intention of using it to import photos onto my laptop a bit quicker. According to some comparison reviews, this reader is one of the faster UHS-II readers on the market. I expect it will be a bit faster than the UHS-I reader that is built into my laptop. The fact that it also works with my smartphone is just a bonus. I've had a dozen card readers over the years.
They are of two camps: the cheapies I get from Ebay and Hongkong, for next to no money; I've not had one of these (yet) work on all slots. They usually will read one or several cards, not all. Inevitably the one I need doesn't work. Then I've had a few decent readers which I've handed off to my kids, thinking I'd get another nearly-free Hongkong special. It seems I never learn. This time, I bit the bullet, paid some money, and it's true, 'you get what you pay for.'
